As part of its commitment to social welfare and youth empowerment, Ashok Chourasia Trust organized a Road Safety Awareness Campaign in Katras, Dhanbad (Jharkhand). The campaign focused on educating youth, students, and local residents about the importance of safe and responsible behavior on roads.
With the rising number of road accidents in India, especially in semi-urban and rural areas, the Trust believes that awareness and behavioral change are key to reducing fatalities and injuries. The campaign aimed to instill safe driving habits, promote the use of helmets and seat belts, and encourage pedestrians and two-wheeler riders to follow traffic rules.

More than 300 individuals directly participated in the awareness drive. A total of 150 helmets were distributed free of cost to two-wheeler riders who were previously riding without head protection.
The Trust will continue to monitor behavioral impact in collaboration with local stakeholders, and aims to launch a quarterly "Safe Roads, Safe Lives" campaign across other parts of Dhanbad district.
