“A tree today is a life tomorrow.”
As part of our commitment to building a just, healthy, and sustainable society, Ashok Chourasia Trust actively promotes environmental conservation through tree plantation initiatives. We believe that environmental protection is not separate from social development—it is deeply connected to the well-being of communities, especially in rural and semi-urban areas.
Through organized tree plantation drives, awareness programs, and community participation, we aim to contribute to ecological balance, combat climate change, and encourage a culture of environmental responsibility.
Promote environmental awareness and ecological responsibility in rural communities
Improve green cover in villages, schools, and barren lands
Encourage student and youth participation in sustainability activities
Foster a sense of community ownership and care for the environment
Mass Plantation Drives
Organized during monsoon season and other suitable periods, we conduct mass plantation events in schools, public parks, village lands, and roadside areas in collaboration with Gram Panchayats and local institutions.
Green School Campaigns
We work with rural schools to raise awareness about environmental protection through plantation drives, drawing competitions, eco-club formations, and interactive sessions with students.
One Family – One Tree Movement
We encourage each household in the village to plant and take responsibility for at least one tree near their home, cultivating a long-term sense of accountability.
Workshops and Training
Awareness workshops on topics such as climate change, water conservation, organic farming, and waste management are conducted to complement our plantation efforts.
Post-Plantation Care
Planting a sapling is only the beginning. We monitor the planted trees through volunteers and school eco-groups to ensure they grow into healthy, mature trees.
We strongly believe that change must begin at the grassroots. Our plantation drives are planned and executed with active participation from local youth groups, SHGs (Self-Help Groups), school children, and village committees. By involving the community, we ensure both ownership and sustainability of the initiative.
Over 5,000 saplings planted across Dhanbad and Ranchi districts
Plantation drives conducted in 25+ schools and 30+ villages
Active partnerships with Forest Department and local institutions
Greater environmental awareness among children and youth
Noticeable improvement in greenery and air quality in selected areas
Tree plantation is not a one-day event for us—it is part of a larger vision for sustainable rural development. By protecting nature, we protect livelihoods, public health, and future generations. Ashok Chourasia Trust is committed to expanding these efforts and building an environmentally conscious society from the ground up.
